Next Phase Is This
“The Taybor” is easily one of the most vibrant and wildly entertaining episodes from the second season of this show. The story kicks off when Moonbase Alpha is visited by a flamboyantly dressed, eccentric intergalactic trader named Taybor, played with absolute relish by Willoughby Goddard. He arrives in a spectacular, hyper-advanced spaceship called the Emporium,…
This episode stands out as one of the most infamously bizarre entries in the second season of Space: 1999. The premise hits when the crew of Moonbase Alpha detects a rare mineral called milgonite on a nearby desert planet. Commander John Koenig leads a team down to secure the resource, but things go sideways fast….
“The Rules of Luton” is easily one of the most memorable, yet utterly bizarre episodes from the second season of Space: 1999. The premise kicks off when Commander John Koenig and Maya get temporarily stranded on a lush, seemingly peaceful planet. Things take a wild turn when Maya picks a flower and Koenig eats a…
“Sudden Fear” hits heavy by throwing a crazy curveball with the introduction of Scarecrow, but it’s not the Jonathan Crane we usually know. It’s actually his son, Jonathan Crane Jr., operating as a teaching assistant. The vibe of this episode is pure retro noir horror, focusing on a string of dark, mysterious student deaths at…
“The Spectral Hand” is easily one of the standout episodes of Batman: Caped Crusader Season 2 on Amazon Prime Video. Written by J.M. DeMatteis, it does a brilliant job leaning heavily into the supernatural horror vibe that this show handles so well. Bringing back the disgraced, crooked cop Jim Corrigan and having him volunteer for…
“The Mark of Archanon” is a standout episode of Space: 1999 that slows things down to deliver a genuinely emotional, character-driven story. Unlike other episodes that rely heavily on cosmic monsters or flashy space battles, this one focuses on the discovery of a father and son from a race known as the Archanons, who have…
“New Adam, New Eve” is a wild ride that perfectly captures the peak sci-fi weirdness of Space: 1999’s second season. This episode brings a heavy dose of cosmic drama when the Alphans run into a high-and-mighty alien being named Magus, who claims he is the literal creator of humanity. Right out the gate, the setup…
The Devil’s Due is easily one of the coolest episodes of Batman: Caped Crusader Season 2 because it finally brings a deep-cut comic villain into the animated universe: the Mad Monk. The plot hits the ground running when a bloody bat symbol is left at a murder scene, framing Batman and kicking off a massive…
Brian the Brain stands out as one of the most memorable yet wildly chaotic episodes from the second season of Space 1999 . The plot kicks off when the crew of Moonbase Alpha crosses paths with a wandering Earth spaceship called the Swift. Instead of a human crew, they are greeted by an eccentric, highly…
This episode stands out as a really fascinating episode from the second season of Space: 1999. Suddenly, two of the crew members, Helena and Tony, get straight-up abducted by an android named Zamara. The…
